This painting was inspired by my first kayak trip down the Musquash River, in Georgian Bay. You can only get there by canoe or kayak ( or a VERY long difficult swim!!) It takes about an hour, and eventually you arrive about as far as you want to go, unless you are a very brave, or an expert. There is a long, tough rapids here that lead to Gray Lake. We exited our kayaks, and walked up to the top of the rocks, among the trees, and here was this cool, battered, run down picnic table, nailed to a tree. It overlooked the rapids, and was absolutely peaceful.
